Bellwork 2

9/16
I got to spend time with my friends Saturday evening. We drove up the mountain, stopped the truck, got out and started hiking up the road, then looked at each other, decided this was a stupid idea, and turned around. We spent the rest of the time before the dance screwing about on a playground.
The Costa Concordia accident happened during an unofficial near-shore salute to the islanders. The ship had been running on a computer-programmed course, but the captain deviated from the course, claiming that he knew the seabed in the area.  The ship caught the reef and finally ran aground after listing in the water for about an hour.

After they managed to tip the cruise ship over enough, weights on the other side were filled with water to assist by force of gravity.  I just learned about that basic physics principle this past year, and it was cool to see how it works.  The crew is going to attach massive floats to the ship to keep it above water, and it will still take several months to get the ship completely out.
Yesterday, we started working on a single function for our robots. I'm hopefully going to finish getting the strafing wheel to work.

The Webwench (their website manager's name for herself) has apparently commissioned the cast of Peter and the Starcatcher to perform for them.  The holiday is all for the sake of silliness and swagger.
